Meko98 is a clothing factory located in Vora municipality. The business owners say they invested an amount of EUR 2 million recently in buying new manufacturing machinery and for creating new working spaces for employees.
The investment has been made on the premises of the government’s support shown for manufacturing companies, by excluding and reimbursing the VAT value for their machinery.
In a visit paid at the headquarters of Meko 98, the Minister of Finances and Economy, Arben Ahmetaj, said the government created the VAT reimbursement scheme in order to support the textile industry.
Due to this investment, the company will now be able to operate as a full-closed circle producer and to export its final products to other countries. The EUR 2 million investment has enabled the opening of 400 job vacancies for the residents of Vora and nearby villages.
