Rama’s approval rating 40%; Berisha’s 32%; Basha’s 20%, Meta’s 13%

Follow Business Albania commissioned a national electronic poll, conducted by Dr. Eduard Zaloshnja, who is a research scientist at Pacific Institute for Research and Evaluation in the Washington, DC area. The sample of around 2100 interviewees represents the Albanian electorate politically and demographically. The maximum margin of sampling error for this poll is plus/minus 2.2 percentage points.

The poll shows that 40% of Albanian voters have a positive opinion of Prime Minister Rama’s performance; whereas 43% have a negative opinion (the remaining 17% have a neutral opinion). This result means that around 840 thousand eligible voters living in Albania have a positive opinion about Rama’s performance, while around 900 thousand have a negative opinion.

On the other hand, only 20% of Albanian voters have a positive opinion of Lulzim Basha’s performance; whereas 52% have a negative opinion (the remaining 28% have a neutral opinion). This result means that around 420 thousand eligible voters living in Albania have a positive opinion about the opposition leader’s performance, while around 1.1 million have a negative opinion.

The historic leader of PD, Sali Berisha, fared better than Basha, with a 32% approval rating, and 48% disapproval rating (around 670 thousand have a positive opinion and around 1 million have a negative opinion about him). Whereas the President of the Republic, Ilir Meta, has an approval rating of 12% and a disapproval rating of 48% (around 250 thousand have a positive opinion and around 1 million have a negative opinion about him).
