The Belgian Embassy in Albania and the “Flanders and Investment Trade” (FIT) office, with the support of the Albanian Investment Development Agency (AIDA), held today the Belgian Economic Mission in Albania at the Plaza Hotel. The delegation of Belgian and Albanian enterprises participated in this important cooperation mission.
The Ambassador of Belgium in Albania, Mr. François Bontemps, stressed the importance of such a meeting to strengthen cooperation between the two countries. The following word was taken by the Vice- Minister of Finance and Economy, Mr. Belinda Ikonomi, who made a general presentation of Albania, highlighting the priority sectors in the country.
Part of the panel was the President of the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Ines Muçostepa. Mr. Muçostepa stressed the opportunity of the business community, the facilities and advantages that our country offers to help not only Albanian but also foreign entrepreneurs.
Following was the address of the Director of Foreign Direct Investment of AIDAs Mr. Genc Çeli, who made a presentation of the mission and services of the Albanian Investment Development Agency, Structure and Data on Foreign Investment in Albania. Mr. Çeli also presented the facilities offered by Albanian law on “Foreign Investments” and the advantages why we should invest in Albania.
The speech was also received by the Chairman of “Flanders and Investment Trade” Mr. Freya Gikas, emphasizing the importance of cooperation between the two countries and the discovery of new markets.
The mission continued with the presentation session of both countries’ businesses, following B2B meetings for establishing new cooperative contacts between participating businesses.
