In the continuation of the implementation of the Operational Plan in the Fight against Informality, the Minister of Finance and Economy, Anila Denaj and the General Director of Taxation, Mrs.Delina Ibrahimaj, inspected today some businesses in the center of Tirana.
Business monitoring is being done to ensure the voluntary compliance of tax and legal obligations, registration with competent bodies, equipping fiscal boxes, issuing tax vouchers, and registering employees.
During the visit, Minister Denaj requested the understanding of the enterprises to cooperate with the Tax Administration in order to be guaranteed by all rigorous enforcement of the law.
“We are pleased to note that you are observing all the rules of tax administration. I hope that the inspectors have been correct in relation to the behavior towards you. The Tax Administration will continue with the periodic fiscal monitoring and visits, as this is part of our work and in this way we believe that we protect and strengthen cooperation between the two sides, “said Ms. Denaj.
Minister of Finance and Economy said that in order to help the business and the consumers is working intensively for the creation of a dedicated application that will be called “StopInformality”.
“All consumers need to join us in this initiative to challenge abnormal business because our goal is for those who are correct to bear the fiscal burden. Any employee may denounce a business if he or she has not registered, if it is not paid on the basis of the real wage, if he or she does not pay the insurance, he / she does not pay the taxes according to the law. Denunciations can also be made through this application if abusive and corruptive behavior is detected by the tax administration, “said Mrs. Denaj.
The app will start running in August and can be downloaded, both by individuals and businesses.
The General Director of Taxation, Mrs.Delina Ibrahimaj, said that the Tax Administration will continue to support and encourage businesses that fulfill all obligations under the legislation in force.
The Operational Plan will continue to be implemented on the ground across the country to ensure fair competition, revenue growth, and combat the informality that goes to the detriment of economic development.
