Of the four main trading partners of Albania, three are EU countries. Italy, Greece and Germany bear the largest share of Albanian exports.
The latest figures published by INSTAT on foreign trade show that the trend of orientation of goods “Made in Albania” towards European markets is expanding.
According to INSTAT, trade exchanges for the first five months of 2018 with EU countries account for 67.5% of all trade.
In the period January to May 2018, exports to EU countries accounted for 77.4% of total exports and imports from EU countries accounted for 62.4% of total imports.
The main trading partners are Italy with 35.6% of total trade volume, Germany by 7%, Greece by 6.7% and China by 5.9%.
