GDT, promotes the voluntary fulfillment of obligations to taxpayers operating in tourist areas

In the framework of implementing the measures plan for the tourist season, Tax Administration aims to encourage taxpayers operating in these areas throughout the country to voluntarily meet tax obligations.

The General Directorate of Taxation is convinced that the most effective way to achieve this is through building trust and mutual respect.

For this reason, taxpayers have been invited to improve the self-declaration of turnover and VAT payment for all months of the tourist season, compared to the same period last year.

Taxpayers who will respond positively to this invitation of the tax administration that with the declaration of tax VAT tax in May 2018 and the following during the other months of the season will not be subject to full controls in the country, fiscal visits, monitoring of the realized turnover or controls from the office.

The subject of complete controls in the country, fiscal visits, on-site monitoring of realized turnover or controls from the office will be only taxpayers who do not improve at acceptable levels their self-declaration for turnover and VAT payable for all months of the tourist season.

For the General Directorate of Taxation, the main purpose is to enforce the law by ensuring that the system is fair and equitable for all. That is why our strategy places emphasis on increasing the quality of services for taxpayers.

The Tax Administration encourages all taxpayers operating in the field of tourism to be correct in law enforcement as well as in meeting tax obligations.
