There are thousands of Albanian entrepreneurs and farmers who have benefited from direct financing lines and Albanian microfinance , bringing development, increasing employment and new investments throughout the country’s economic chain.
Deputy Agriculture Minister Dhimitar Kote told ATSH that the government is watching the promotion of financial services for the rural sector.
National Agricultural Support and Agribusiness Schemes, with a USD 20 million fund, the IPARD Program, worth EUR 94 million, to grant grants to rural entrepreneurs and over EUR 135 million, which marked the microfinance sector’s portfolios for agriculture at the end of 2017, are the largest financial support that is being addressed for the first time in the development of agriculture and agribusiness in our country.
Kote said that this year is expected to increase the number of employees in the rural sector, including seasonal employment, favored by new investments in greenhouses, increased crops with vegetables, fruits, olive groves and vineyards, but also in the agro-processing and livestock sector.
