The government has made available for financing of social enterprises in the country a fund of about 250 million lek for the next 3 years, where for the year 2019 are forecast 61 million lek and growth in the following two years.
The government’s decision was published in the Official Journal, opening the way for the disbursement of this fund subsidizing the activity of social enterprises, new jobs created for the employment of individuals from disadvantaged groups and the compulsory social and health insurance of social enterprise employees , belonging to these groups.
Specifically the funds for each category are divided: 135 000 000 lek for subsidizing the activity of social enterprises; 37 000 000 lek for the creation of new jobs; 7 776 000 ALL for compulsory social and health insurance of social enterprise employees belonging to disadvantaged groups.
Beneficial are those companies that present a project proposal or business plan, demonstrating that the items foreseen for support are important for the development and expansion of their business. Granting the subsidy is conditioned by the employment of persons from the categories of disadvantaged groups and the duration of the contract is not less than two years.
Payment is made 50% with the approval of the application and 50% after the execution of the expenditures versus the invoices presented, which certify the expenses incurred. Applicants should not have violated labor and tax legislation related to obligations to employees as long as they perform the activity. An enterprise can benefit in total for 3 years, 14 million ALL of grants.
