February 2017 – Exports increased annually by 14.2%

Exports of goods during February amounted to 20 billion, increasing by 14.2% compared to February 2016.

As regards the period January – February 2017 compared to the same period in 2016 exports increased by 14.8 %. The highest impact on commodity groups had “Minerals, fuels, electricity” with 73.2% and “Textile and footwear” by 4.6%. In the first two months of 2017, the countries with which Albania has had the largest increase in exports, compared with a year ago, are: Italia (9,1%), Kosovo (36.5%) and Spain by (120.7%).

Imports of goods in February 2017 amounted to 44 billion, increasing by 4.8%, compared with a year ago and 24.7%, compared with January 2017.

The highest impact on the increase in imports commodity groups were “chemical and Plastics” with 15.5% and “Textile and footwear” by 8.9%. In the first two months of 2017, the countries with which Albania has had the largest increase in imports, compared with a year ago, are: Turkey with (8.8%), with Germany (16.3%) and Greece by (4.6%).
