On 11 July 2019, a meeting was held between AIDA and representatives of the Consortium for the Industrial Development of Rome and Latin America, at the premises of the Tirana Chamber of Commerce and Industry. This meeting was aimed at mutual recognition and exchange of information on the activity of both subjects.
The speech was received by AIDA’s representative Ms. Dorina Patuzi, who made a presentation of AIDA’s role as well as investment opportunities offered by Albania, especially focusing on strategic sectors.
The key issues that were discussed related to the application to gain the status of a strategic investor, the AIDA role in this process, from the project proposal to the final outcome, if the project is approved status.
Following the meeting, the legal criteria were clarified to be called a strategic investment project, sectors, sub-sectors and investment value limits. Their biggest interest was mainly for the tourism, energy and priority development areas.
