AIDA is an active part of the Business Forum “Albania – Croatia” for fostering bilateral investment and cooperation
Albania – Croatia Business Forum held at Hotel Tirana International, organized by the Albanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with the Croatian Chamber of Trustees and Economies. An active part of the event was also representatives of the Albanian Investment Development Agency (AIDA), which presented the participating companies the mission and the role in helping foreign investors.
In this activity were present important representatives of the Albanian and Croatian institutions who held their greeting and introductory speech. Part of this panel was the Minister of Finance and Economy, Anila Denaj, Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to Albania, Sanja Bujas, Minister of State for Protection of Enterprise, Mr. Eduard Shalsi, Minister of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Handicrafts, Mr. Darko Horvat, Deputy Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Mr. Etjen Xhafaj, President of Chamber of Commerce and Tirana, Mr. Nikolin Jaka, Director of Coordination at AIDAs, Mr. Genc Çeli, Vice President of Croatian Chamber of Economy, Mr. Ivan Barbarić and Chair of CIS and CEFTA Trade Division, Suzana Knezević.
Minister of Finance and Economy Ms. Anila Denaj, in her speech, made an analysis of the current level of cooperation between the two countries. The minister emphasized elements of Albanian politics that affect a good business climate that are in line with EU policies. Following Mrs. Denaj, mentioned the fiscal facilities of our country and the possibility of a draft agreement in key sectors, inviting Croatian companies to cooperate with the shipbuilding businesses.
A presentation on AIDA’s role in supporting and developing businesses was also held by the Director of Coordination at AIDA, Mr. Genc Çeli. Mr. Çeli acquainted the participants with the advantages that our country offers, following the presentation of the strategic sectors and data on foreign investments in Albania. Mr. Çeli stressed the facilities offered by the Albanian law on “Foreign Investments” and the advantages why a foreign company should invest in Albania.
The Forum continued with the B2B (Business to Business) session aimed at creating new cooperative contacts between Albanian and Croatian participating businesses. For these meetings there was a special interest from both parties in the forum.
